Now that you have learned how to customize your workspace to fit your needs, let’s walk through a few general settings that are often adjusted before making your first trade.
Since you only need to interact with the settings panel during the setup phase, it is helpful to know how to hide it, so it does not take up space or get in the way while you are trading. Just click the hide panel icon, as shown in the screenshot below:
This window enables you to adjust the time display settings in the ATAS platform. For instance, you can choose to have everything (charts and other windows) show your local time or the local time of the exchange where each instrument is traded.
To configure basic settings:
Go to the "Settings" tab and click the “Time Zones” icon.
In the dropdown list, select the exchange you are interested in and sync its time zone with your local time. This can be done manually or automatically by clicking the “Local Time Zone” icon (shown by the arrow).
You can configure these settings individually for each exchange you plan to trade on.
To show all the levels provided by your data provider in the DOM, you need to remove the default limit.
Go to the “Common Settings” tab (1) → find the “Depth of Market” section → set the “Levels Count” field (2) to 0.
We recommend leaving the other options in the “Common Settings” tab (3) unchanged.
Over time, the platform may build up a cache, which can slow down loading time or cause issues with chart performance. To prevent this, make sure to clear the cache regularly, which can also be done from the “Common Settings” tab.
