# Step 2. Explore Your Workspace

When you first launch ATAS, you will start with a default workspace that we have set up for you. You can customize this workspace through the main window. This window is your control center for managing all platform modules and features.

From here, you can open charts, set up basic platform preferences (chart settings are adjusted separately in the chart module), view account, trade, and position data.

Further, you will mostly interact with this window as an intermediary before diving into your main workspace. For now, it is important to understand the tabs available and their functions. In this section, we will walk through the key elements step by step.
